Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the overall academic quality, integrity, and editorial direction of IJEDAL. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their suitability for the journal, compliance with submission requirements, originality, scholarly contribution, methodological rigor, and adherence to ethical standards.

Manuscripts may be declined without external review if they:

• Fall outside the aims and scope of the journal;

• Fail to comply with the journal's submission guidelines;

• Lack originality or scholarly contribution;

• Contain significant methodological, ethical, or language deficiencies.

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts based on reviewers' recommendations and editorial evaluation.

Ethical Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief is committed to:

• Evaluating manuscripts solely on their academic merit;

• Maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts;

• Managing conflicts of interest in accordance with COPE principles;

• Ensuring a fair, transparent, and timely peer review process;

• Upholding the integrity of the scholarly record.

Section Editors

Section Editors assist the Editor-in-Chief in managing the peer review process. Their responsibilities include:

• Conducting an initial assessment of assigned manuscripts;

• Identifying and inviting qualified reviewers;

• Monitoring the review process;

• Evaluating reviewer reports;

• Providing recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief regarding editorial decisions.

Ethical Responsibilities of Section Editors

Section Editors are expected to:

• Act impartially and objectively throughout the review process;

• Maintain the confidentiality of all submitted materials;

• Avoid and disclose potential conflicts of interest;

• Support the integrity, quality, and transparency of the editorial process.
